Gautam Gambhir :

“I think…”, Gambhir made a big statement regarding Siraj’s bowling.

Looking ahead to next year’s T20 World Cup, Gambhir wants India to focus beyond the results of bilateral series and identify the group of bowlers who can be effective for them in the death overs.

Gautam Gambhir on Siraj: Former Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir has supported fast bowler Mohammed Siraj after his poor performance in the second T20 match against South Africa on Tuesday. Siraj gave 14 runs in his first over, but made a strong comeback by giving only 13 runs including one wicket in his next two overs. Gambhir also expressed disappointment over Arshdeep Singh’s performance in the match. The fast bowler gave away 31 runs in two overs, which included 24 runs in his first over.

Gautam Gambhir said about Siraj “I think Mohammed Siraj would bowl worse than this and still finish with better figures.

I was a bit disappointed with Arshdeep because when he bowled the first over, the powerplay was over and the ball became wet and difficult to catch.

The 13th over that Mukesh bowled was brilliant, with pin-point yorkers against a bowler like David Miller with a wet ball.
