Same happens in the market. You don’t buy at the time of extreme greed, if you are a MID-TO-LONG term investor.
Many of you are asking me: which IPO should we buy, any bulk investing opportunity etc? Well, you don’t. You wait to buy undervalued things. Kids (or rather adults) who prepared for the markets in the last round would be smiling now, looking at their gains.
And, would not panic buying right now. We panic buy because
(a) we don’t have an investment thesis
(b) we always look to make small gains through IPO listings
(c) there is no system to sell/buy things I can assure you that unless you give up on the habit of chasing IPOs, trending stocks etc, you will NOT make money consistently.
