In an episode of Koffee with Karan season 8 Aditya Roy Kapoor approved Kartik Aryan for Ashiqui 3.
It was revealed that Kartik Aryan would be leading Ashiqui 3, directed by Anurag Basu.
Aditya Roy Kapur rose to fame as Rahul Jayakar in Aashiqui 2. The film starred Shradha Kapoor as the leading lady, and that’s also reportedly where the duo fell in love. Although the relationship didn’t last long, their impressive performances have stayed in our hearts forever.
Aditya Roy Kapur joked that he would have to return as a spirit in order to be a part of Aashiqui 3. Karan Johar added it would be funny to see him as a ghost haunting Kartik Aaryan for taking over his popular role!
